How is spunlace nonwoven cleaning cloth produced

2024/09/04

spunlace cleaning cloth, also commonly known as non-woven fabric or wet wipes material, is a non-woven fabric produced through water jet technology. This production process does not require traditional textile methods such as weaving or knitting, but instead uses high-pressure water flow to reinforce the fiber mesh into a fabric shape, hence the name "spunlace". The following is the basic process of producing spunlace cleaning cloth:

Fiber preparation: Firstly, select suitable fiber raw materials according to the product requirements, commonly including polyester (PET), polypropylene (PP), viscose fiber, wood pulp fiber, etc. These fibers may exist in the form of short fibers or long fibers. The selection of fibers directly affects the softness, water absorption, strength and other characteristics of the final product.

Fiber loosening and mixing: The selected fiber raw materials are loosened by a loosening machine to make the fibers fluffy and evenly mixed, preparing for the subsequent web forming process. If multi-layer or multi-color spunlace fabric needs to be produced, this step will also mix fibers of different colors or materials in proportion.

Web formation: Forming a fiber web by air flow or mechanical laying of mixed fibers. This step is to randomly or directionally arrange the fibers into a thin mesh structure, laying the foundation for subsequent reinforcement.

Water jet reinforcement: The key step is to feed the fiber mesh into the spunlace machine. Inside the spunlace machine, multiple sets of high-pressure fine water columns are sprayed onto the fiber web from different angles. These high-speed flowing water columns penetrate the fiber web, causing the fibers to entangle and entangle with each other, thus forming a non-woven fabric with certain strength and stability. This process can be carried out on one or more sides to achieve the desired density and strength.

Drying and heat treatment: After spunlace treatment, the fabric contains a large amount of moisture, which needs to be removed by a dryer. At the same time, heat treatment can further fix the fiber structure, improve the dimensional stability and performance of the fabric.

Post treatment: according to the product demand, carry out post treatment steps such as printing, antibacterial treatment, softener treatment, cutting, folding, packaging, etc. to make them into finished products, such as wet wipes, cleaning cloths, facial mask substrates, sanitary products, etc.

The entire production process is highly automated and capable of large-scale continuous production, ensuring efficient production and quality control of spunlace cleaning cloth.
